Stabbed Ohio woman hits suspected attacker's 2-year-old daughter with car, both die

(CBS/WOIO/AP) CLEVELAND - A 29-year-old woman was stabbed during an argument while sitting behind the wheel of a car Thursday night, and when she tried to drive away she struck her alleged attacker's 2-year-old daughter, authorities said Friday.

The woman, Sharice Swain, and the girl both died. The toddler's mother, who is suspected in the stabbing, was found naked several blocks away and arrested.

Swain's death is being investigated as a homicide. The child's name was not immediately released by the coroner. Her 1-year-old sibling also was struck, but the injuries apparently were not life-threatening.

The nature of the argument was not disclosed, and it wasn't clear if Swain hit the girl intentionally or accidentally.

According to CBS affiliate WOIO, a preliminary investigation reveals that Swain and 29-year-old Kimberly Black were in a car parked in Black's driveway when they got into an argument. around 9 p.m. During the fight, Black allegedly went into her home, returned with a weapon, and stabbed Swain several times in the face and neck.

Police reportedly say that after the stabbing, Black took off her clothes, and fled the scene on foot. She was taken into custody and treated for a hand injury.

She is currently being held in the Division's Central Prison Unit awaiting charges, WOIO reports.
