Spencer Pratt Named Radar Columnist

The next time you have a problem, who better to ask advice from than an MTV series star? Radar magazine has chosen Spencer Pratt, the tough guy from MTV's The Hills, as their new advice columnist.

His column, Yo Spencer!, will first appear in the April 2008 issue of the monthly publication.

Radar became interested in Pratt after doing a question and answer session with him last November. The reality show icon may add some spice up the magazine, which covers everything from pop culture to politics.

Nestled in with exposes and profiles, Yo Spencer! should bring some extra life to the publication, answering questions of everyday readers.

Radar editor-in-chief Maer Roshan said, "Spencer is never afraid to speak his mind. When asking for advice, it's good to have someone who will be brutally honest with you, and tell it like it is."

Pratt first made his appearance on the reality show "The Princes of Malibu," which followed the lives of the Jenner brothers, Brody and Brandon, sons of Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner and step-sons to music industry giant David Foster. He got a spot on "The Hills" by dating Heidi Montag, a main player on the Laguna Bean spin-off.

Despite the fact that almost all viewers of the reality shows featuring Pratt seem to hate him, he has managed to build himself a career and rise to stardom.

Aside from his reality career, Pratt has a management company, Innovator Management, which includes clients David Foster and girlfriend Heidi Montag. He is also vice president of a jewelry company, vice president of "310 Creative," which does Web design for celebrity sites, and works for David Foster's label, 143 Records, for Atlantic.
