Spector, Faithfull join Stones tribute show
(CBS) Marianne Faithfull, Ronnie Spector and Rickie Lee Jones have joined the bill for an upcoming benefit concert celebrating the music of the Rolling Stones.
The show, set for March 13 at New York's Carnegie Hall, finds each participating artist playing a song off the Stones' "Hot Rocks 1964-1971" collection, including "As Tears Go By," which was originally a hit for Faithfull in 1964.
Other performers include Rosanne Cash, the Mountain Goats, TV on the Radio, Glen Hansard, Peaches, Marc Cohn, Taj Mahal, Steve Earle and Rich Robinson of Black Crowes fame.
Proceeds from the concert will go to music education programs.
