NEW YORK (CBS) Lauren Froderman will be on tonight's results episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" despite an injury she suffered during her performance Wednesday night.

The show's executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe took to Twitter today to discuss Lauren's status.

"I am happy to say Lauren will be in the studio later today," he tweeted Thursday morning."She won't be in the opening number and won't dance unless she's in the bottom 3. "

About an hour later, he wrote " Sorry I can't tell you what the problem was with Lauren until I speak with her and her Doctor later today. I just don't know at this point. "

At the end of Wednesday's show, as judges were commenting on the unusual injury-free session, Lythgoe cautioned against speaking too soon. He said Lauren, the only female dancer left in the competition, was consulting with a medic.

The show has been plagued by injuries this season. It started July 8 when one of the front runners, Alex Wong, was eliminated after suffering an injury. The next week, Ashley Galvan suffered an injury and was eliminated. Last week, Billy Bell was hurt but, for the first time in the history of the show, there were no eliminations. Instead, two dancers will be eliminated tonight.

Still left in the competition are Froderman, Bell, Robert Roldan, Kent Boyd, Jose Ruiz and Adechike Torbert.
