"So You Think You Can Dance" cuts another 2 dancers

(CBS) "So You Think You Can Dance" results were full of shocks and surprises Thursday night when one more couple was sent packing, leaving 12 dancers to battle it out for the title.

So, who went home? (SPOILER ALERT)

Pictures: "So You Think You Can Dance" Season 8

The biggest shock came when Ryan and Ricky, who won raves for their quirky zombie performance the previous night, found themselves in the bottom three, along with Jordan and Tadd, whose waltz also won favorable comments from judges. Joining them was Ashley and Chris, whose salsa earned less-than-stellar reviews.

Ryan's tears at being put in the bottom three, and later, at being critiqued by Nigel at elimination time, were curious. Is she naturally sentimental? Or was she so sure of herself that she never expected to be in that spot?

After all six had danced for their lives and the judges had conferred, the ax fell on Ashley and Chris.

Results show performances featured Florence + the Machine and the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, which was highlighted in the film "The Adjustment Bureau."

Oh, and where was Carmen Electra? One of four people judging Wednesday's performances, she was missing without explanation Thursday, leaving Travis Wall, Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe to make the hard choices.
