So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish!

I'm sad. After nearly four and a half years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Business Hacks. It's a voluntary departure, but bittersweet to say the least.

Words can't adequately express how much I've enjoyed this job; it's been one of the highlights of my professional career. When I came here from Lifehacker in the spring of 2007, my goal was to make Business Hacks an essential destination by offering some of the best business-productivity tips anywhere.

With help from former colleague David Goldenberg and current one Dave Johnson, mission accomplished: Business Hacks has grown by leaps and bounds, and is currently among the most heavily trafficked blogs on BNET.

I want to thank profusely those of you who visit regularly and take part in the conversation. Reading your insightful, informative, inquisitive, and sometimes confrontational comments has been a true pleasure, and I hope you'll continue to speak up.

I also want to thank the terrific folks (both past and present) at BNET who've made working here such a joy. Among them: Todd Lappin, Jeff Davis, Michael Mattis, Karen Steen, and Lindsay Blakely.

This is not goodbye, but rather "see you around the Web." I continue to write daily missives for CNET's The Cheapskate and iPhone Atlas, and you'll see my byline in plenty of other online hotspots as well. (I've even been known to appear in print from time to time; see Wired, Popular Science, and PC World.) Thus, I like to think our paths will cross again.

In the meantime, thanks again for reading, and be sure to stick around. More great stuff awaits you.
