"Snoop" from "The Wire" arrested in drug raid

(CBS) Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, who played a street-wise drug dealer and assassin on HBO's "The Wire," was arrested along with more than 30 other people Thursday morning in a series of drug raids in Baltimore.

Pearson, 30, was taken into custody at an apartment downtown on a state warrant, the Baltimore Sun reports.

The pre-dawn raids were conducted by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Baltimore police and other law enforcement authorities. The target reportedly was  a large heroin and marijuana operation.

The actress had a troubled past before being cast on "The Wire" in 2002. It included a second-degree murder conviction when she was just 14,. Recently, she was arrested for refusing  to testify as a witness at a murder trial.

Thursday's arrests were part of a five-month drug investigation, officials said.
