Small World Labs Raises $1 Million First Round For Enterprise Social Networking

Small World Labs, a provider of social networking tools for businesses, has raised more than $1 million in a first round from various investors, including Clearmeadow Partners. The round will officially close in the next 60 days. The Austin-based company is one of a handful of startups offering businesses tools to establish their own social networking platforms, either to build community among their users or within the professional setting. Customers include the Dallas Morning News, Oracle and the American Cancer Society. Founder and CEO Michael Wilson was previously at Coremetrics. Release.
Note that Clearmeadow Partners is a new firm launched by Jordan Rohan, who until recently was a well-known internet analyst at RBC. I noticed this week that the latest report I received from RBC had an unfamiliar name, Ross Sandler, so this explains it.
