(CBS/WTSP/AP) CLEARWATER, Fla. - Jury selection in the Casey Anthony murder trial continues to move slowly as six of 17 prospective jurors were eliminated today.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys got rid of potential jurors they thought were questionable Tuesday morning, reports CBS affiliate WTSP.

One potential juror who was dismissed said that she could not be impartial in the case where the Anthony, 25, is accused of killing her two-year-old daughter Caylee in the summer of 2008, reports the station.

"I've seen pictures of her partying. She did not look like a mother whose child was missing," said the woman.

Judge Perry had been aiming to finish jury selection on Tuesday to be able to give jurors Wednesday off and start Anthony's trial in Orlando on Thursday, the station reports.

His original goal was to find 12 jurors and eight alternates, but because jury selection has taken so long, he has decided not to continue with his original goal of eight alternates.

"We will have what we will have," he told the courtroom, reports the station.

Once Perry gets 12 uncontested jurors, he will swear them in, and they then cannot be removed by strikes from either side, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

Lead defense attorney Jose Baez reminded Perry on Tuesday that he can backstrike jurors until the jury of 12 is sworn in, so it's possible that he's targeting more of the 11 remaining prospective jurors. The state would also have that right, too.

For a moment Tuesday afternoon, and again several hours later, it appeared that there were 12 potential jurors, but the defense elected to use another of its 10 strikes each time.

Jury selection is taking place outside of Orlando in the Tampa area because of intense media coverage near where the alleged murder of 2-year old Caylee Anthony occurred.

Anthony could face the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder in her daughter's 2008 death. She is also charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and providing false information to law enforcement. She has pleaded not guilty and maintains a babysitter kidnapped Caylee.

The Casey Anthony case was recently reported on by "48 Hours Mystery."
