Simon Cowell to launch DJ talent search show

(CBS) Simon Cowell is setting his sights on DJs.

"The X Factor" and "America's Got Talent" executive producer is reportedly developing a new reality competition show to find the world's best DJ.

"DJ's are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show," Cowell is quoted  as  saying in  The Hollywood Reporter.

Cowell's SYCO Entertainment is partnering with Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Entertainment to launch the show.

"Excited to announce new DJ show. I will NOT be judging this show. Excited to be working with @jadasmith. Stay tuned!" he tweeted.
