Shawn Ashmore ties the knot

(CBS News) "X-Men" star Shawn Ashmore is a married man.

The Canadian-born actor tied the knot with film executive Dana Renee Wadin on July 27 in Los Angeles, ET Canada reports.

"Thank you to everyone sending Dana and I well wishes!!! We couldn't be happier :)" Ashmore tweeted.

The newlyweds exchanged vows at a private ceremony and celebrated with family and friends at SmogShoppe gallery and event space in Los Angeles.

Wadsin, who is an executive with Darkwoods Productions, tweeted a photo of pair, saying, "How happy was I!!! Love when more photos pop up! @shawnrashmore you make me so very happy!"
