Sen. Craig Thomas Passes Away

Sen. Craig Thomas (R-Wy.) passed away this evening from leukemia, his office announced.

Thomas was a three-term senator who previously served five years in the House. He had been battling leukemia since November 2006, and returned to the hospital late last month for a second round of chemotherapy. His office announced earlier today that his cancer was resisting the treatment.
