The movie follows Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, on his misadventures in New York City.
In the trailer, we hear witch Porpentina Goldstein (played by Katherine Waterston) explain Newt's story. She says, "Yesterday a wizard entered New York with a case. A case full of magical creatures. And unfortunately, some have escaped."
The trailer then cuts to Newt opening a yowling, roaring briefcase and Porpentina asks, "It was opened?" and Newt promises, "Just a smidge."
Fans will have to wait until November 2016 to see the film, but the trailer should take them back into the wizarding world of "Harry Potter."
