Second Cup Cafe: Crosby Loggins

Crosby Loggins is no stranger to music.

He's the son of Grammy Award winner Kenny Loggins and winner of MTV's 2008 reality show, "Rock the Cradle," a singing competition for children of famous musicians.

Loggins stopped by the "The Early Show Saturday Edition"'s "Second Cup Cafe" to perform tracks from his solo debut, "Time to Move" where he shows off his vocal, guitar playing talents.

Although "Time to Move" is Loggins' first solo album, in 2007 he released an album, "We All Go Home" with his band, Crosby Loggins and the Light.

While recording "Time to Move" with John Mayer's producer, John Alagia, the pop star would often show up at the studio.

During one visit, Mayer was discussing a guitar solo on the title track. Loggins gave Mayer the green light to take a shot at it, and that version made the record!

While growing up, Loggins was immersed in music. His father's friends, Jackson Browne and Michael McDonald, who would visit the Loggins' family home in Santa Barbara, Calif., left a lasting impression on him.

At first, Loggins was reluctant to participate in "Rock the Cradle," but he ended up stealing the show. Besides winning the contest, Loggins got a jump-start for his career when he scored a record deal with Jive.
