Search is on for husband in slayings of 5 in Georgia

LAGRANGE, Ga. - Authorities are searching for a man who they believe killed his wife and four other people in a LaGrange, Ga. home, reports CBS Atlanta.

According to the station, warrants were issued for 26-year-old Thomas Jess Lee's arrest on Sunday evening.

Authorities say they were called to the home late Saturday by a co-worker of the homeowner, William Burtron. Burtron, 69, had missed a couple of days of work and his co-workers were worried about him, said Sgt. Stewart Smith, reports the station.

When deputies arrived, the doors of the home were locked, so they asked firefighters to help them break through the door. When they entered the home, authorities found the bodies of William Burtron; his wife, Sheila Burtron, 68; their daughter Christie Lee, who is in her 30s; Christie Lee's daughter, Bailey Burtron, 16; and family friend Iiaonna Green, 18.

All of the victims had been shot and no weapon was found, authorities say, according to the station.

Sgt. Smith identified the suspect as Christie Lee's husband, Thomas Jess Lee.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Troup County Sheriff's Office at (706) 883-1616.

Lee is described by police as being about 6'3" tall and weighing 190 pounds. They say he may be driving an olive green Mazda Tribute with Georgia license plate number BRN-0785.
