Search All Your Outlook Folders At Once
I love the instant search box in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010. When I need to find an e-mail, I can type and get results almost (as the name implies) instantly. It's worth the upgrade from Outlook 2003 all by itself.
What I don't like? Searches only apply to the currently selected folder (like the Inbox or Sent Items). Sometimes I'd like a way to search everything at once.
Well, that's easy to do with Search Folders. I've told you about using Search Folders in the past -- combined with categories, you can quickly see a list of all the messages related to a certain project, for instance. Today I'll show you how you can easily make a Search Folder that lets you conduct a single search across any number of folders -- Inbox, Sent Items, stored PST folders, you name it.
