Schedule Your Team for Free with DRoster
Software that can help you schedule employees -- especially if you manage shift workers who need to man multiple locations, stations, or offices -- is worth far more than its weight in gold (because software does not weigh anything). If you are on the lookout for a better way to schedule people, then check out DRoster.
DRoster lets you assign any number of workers to shifts and work locations, and you can view your schedule in daily or hourly planning mode. You can generate reports to manage a variety of scheduling tasks, as well as monitoring employee attendance. The program isn't especially attractive -- it looks like Microsoft Project had a somewhat unsuccessful nose job -- but it definitely gets the job done.
You can use DRoster for free, though you're limited to 300 concurrent shifts. To work with a larger set of employees, you need to upgrade to the pro version for $250. Most small businesses should be able to stay well within the limits of the free version, though. [via Ghacks]
