Save Time and Money with the USPS Postage Price Calculator

Second only to the Motor Vehicle office as the target of cruel jokes, the Post Office probably doesn't really deserve its reputation. After all, what other branch of the government has gone to such great lengths to embrace the digital age for the convenience of its customers? For example: Did you know that you can use the USPS Web site to calculate the cost of packages and print postage online?

The Postage Price Calculator is deceptively simple; if all you want to know is what it costs to mail a three-pound parcel from Seattle to Bakersville, you can find that out in seconds.

But if you're in the mood for convenience, you can also print the postage from the Web page and save money in the process. Mailing a three-pound package from Seattle to New York, for example, saves you anywhere from 15 cents (Priority Mail) to $1.50 (Express Mail). Best of all, once you print the postage, you can just drop it off; no need to wait in line at the Post Office like a sucker.
