Save and Annotate Your Web Searches
When I come across websites that contain important information for whatever I'm working on at the time, I'll often bookmark the pages or sometimes just leave them open for later. Often, though, by the time I'm ready to return to them, I've lost my train of thought or can't find exactly what I'm looking for.
But now that I've downloaded the free ScrapBook extension in my Firefox browser, I can highlight particular website passages and even make notes in the margins before saving them to my hard drive. That means that I can decipher my earlier thoughts, plus send meaningful links to colleagues.
Plus, it's a pretty useful way to save sites you want to make sure to check out later, even if you don't feel the need to write on them.
