Sarah Palin to Appear on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show"

NBC bookers have been working overtime to secure high-profile guests for Jay Leno's return to "The Tonight Show" next week, and among the coveted guests they've landed is former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

Palin will appear on the show on Tuesday, where she will be accompanied by Gold Medal Snowboarder Shaun White, according to the network.

Though NBC doesn't name the musical guest for that episode, Gawker notes that openly gay former "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert has announced he will be performing on "The Tonight Show" that very evening.

On the issue of homosexuality, Palin told CBS News' Katie Couric in September 2008 that she is "not going to judge Americans and the decisions that they make in their adult personal relationships." She also suggested that homosexuality is a choice, saying that a close gay friend of hers "happens to have made a choice that isn't a choice I would have made."

Other guests in Leno's first week back on "The Tonight Show" include Lindsey Vonn, Morgan Freeman and Jamie Foxx.
