Sarah Palin Faces "Mama Bears" on New Show

In a new preview clip for TLC's "Sarah Palin's Alaska," the former vice presidential candidate and her family get up close and personal with one of Palin's favorite political reference points: The mama bear.

"This is awesome," says Palin in the clip. "I love watching these mama bears!" The former Alaska governor has famously labeled some of the candidates she supports "mama grizzlies."

The preview clip, for TLC's upcoming documentary series about the former Alaska governor, features Palin exploring nature while on a boat trip with her family.

"What I see in that is what a mom would do too: Anything and everything - laying down her life - for her kids," Palin says, against the backdrop of a mother bear leading her cubs. "What I see in that is what a mom would do too: Anything and everything - laying down her life - for her kids."

The show appears to be geared toward Palin's life with her family. In the official trailer for the show, she's quoted as saying "family comes first, it's just gotta be that way."

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" premieres on TLC on November 14, 2010.
