Samsung kicked off sales of its phone-tablet hybrid, the Galaxy Note II Wednesday in the U.S.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Note II at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA 2012) in August. The device features a 5.5-inch display at 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Android 4.1 operating system, front- and rear-facing cameras, 16 gigabyte memory and S Pen.
The Galaxy Note II is currently available from T-Mobile for about $370, after an instant discount and mail-in rebate, and U.S. Mobile for about $300. Both require a two-year plan to get the subsidized price. The company says the device is "coming soon" to AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.
AT&T announced the Galaxy Note II will be available on Nov. 9 for about $300 with a 2-year contract. Pre-orders start on Oct. 25.
Samsung says it sold 10 million units of the original Galaxy Note in its first year.
