Sam Smith unveiled the video for his James Bond theme song early Monday morning -- and it gives a glimpse of what we can expect from the upcoming 007 installment.
Directed by Luke Monaghan, the video for "Writing's On The Wall" was shot throughout the city of Rome. It opens with a scene of Union Jack clad coffins and finds the British crooner in the some of the same spots used in the filming of the upcoming Bond film, "Spectre." In between those shots are visuals from the actual "Spectre film," including a love scene between Bond (Daniel Craig) and Lucia (Monica Bellucci).
Smith, 23, took to Twitter to announce the video release, writing, "Very proud of this one x massive shout out to @lukemonaghan for directing this beaut."
The Grammy winner co-wrote "Writing's On The Wall" with Jimmy Napes. Last week, it became the first Bond theme song ever to reach No. 1 on the U.K. charts.
"Spectre" -- the 24th Bond adventure -- opens in theaters on Nov. 6.
