Salazar: Superdelegates Waiting Out Of "respect"

Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Colo.) says he and other uncommitted Senate superdelegates won't announce their endorsements today, but it clearly isn't because they haven't decided.

Rather, Salazar says, superdelegates are waiting so that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will be "given space."

"I think we all need to allow for an opportunity for Sen. Clinton to do what she needs to do," Salazar said this afternoon.

The clock is  ticking. Salazar said he won't make an endorsement today but could do so as soon as tomorrow.

"For us in the Senate," he said, "it's something we have to handle with respect."
