Sabres Give Players New Deals
The Buffalo Sabres re-signed forward Geoff Sanderson and defensemen James Patrick and Jason Holland on Monday.
Sanderson and Holland agreed to one-year contracts, while Patrick signed a multiyear deal. Financial terms were not available.
Sanderson, a left wing, recorded 12 goals and 18 assists in 75 games last season. He also scored the winning goal in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against Toronto and had two goals in Game 4 of that series.
Patrick, 36, entering his 16th NHL season, had a goal and seven assists in 45 games last season. He was signed as a free agent by the Sabres in October 1998.
Holland played 74 games with Rochester of the AHL and appeared in three games with the Sabres.
