Ryan Gosling has showed us once again he's a decent guy.

The 34-year-old actor paid touching tribute to Vine star Ryan McHenry, who died Sunday, losing his battle a two-year battle with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. He was 27.

McHenry first posted a six-second Vine in 2013, showing Gosling appearing to reject a spoonful of cereal. The Scottish filmmaker quickly went viral with his "Ryan Gosling Won't Eat His Cereal" Vine series. Six months later, he learned he had cancer.

On Monday, Gosling filmed himself finally eating cereal as tribute to the meme's creator:

In late 2013, Vine fans teamed up and raised $10,000 to help with McHenry's treatment and recovery.

The video sharing service remembered McHenry, too:

In the past, Gosling made headlines for breaking up a New York City street fight between two strangers in 2011. He also pulled a journalist out of the path of a speeding car.
