Rutgers Spycam Trial: Witness says Dharun Ravi told her of a "viewing party"

(AP) NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - A friend of Dharun Ravi told jurors in his trial on Monday that Ravi had told her there was going to be a "viewing party" to watch his roommate's encounter with another man.

Michelle Huang testified that Ravi told her about the viewing party on Sept. 21, 2010 which is the same day Ravi is accused of attempting to spy on his roommate, Tyler Clementi. This is the first mention of a viewing party in the trial. Testimony is in its seventh day.

Tyler Clementi, committed suicide on Sept. 22, 2010, by jumping off the George Washington Bridge.

Ravi faces 15 counts, including invasion of privacy and bias intimidation which is a hate crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He isn't charged in Clementi's death.
