Romney Attacks Clinton In New Ad

It may not yet be the general election, but it's sure starting to feel that way.

Republican Mitt Romney has released an ad, "Experience Matters," that targets not his Republican rivals but his potential future Democratic opponent: Hillary Clinton.

"Hillary Clinton wants to run the largest enterprise in the world," says Romney in the ad, echoing comments he's made in the past. "She hasn't run a corner store. She hasn't run a state. She hasn't run a city. She has never run anything. And the idea that she could learn to be president as an internship just doesn't make any sense."

The Romney campaign says the ad, which you can watch by clicking on the video box, will start running in New Hampshire today.

Targeting Clinton has become a popular pastime among the Republican presidential hopefuls, both at debates and in fundraising appeals, despite the fact that the Republican nomination is far from locked up.

Her Democratic rivals are also stepping up their attacks. John Edwards, who was perhaps Clinton's most aggressive critic at Tuesday night's debate, has released a video on YouTube called "The Politics of Parsing." In it, Clinton is accused of "double talk" on Iraq, Social Security, and immigration. A split screen of her comments from the debate is used to illustrate the point.
