Rohrabacher Rips His Leaders Right In Front Of Them

You gotta give Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher some credit for his moxie. The Californian has some unkind words for his own leaders Thursday during a press conference with the very folks he was criticizing.

The press event was thrown together so, sadly, I wasn't there. As such, I'm quoting from someone in the room.

“Everyone here knows that our leadership had nothing to do with getting our conference to vote in opposition to the Senate bill, so let’s just be honest," Rohrabacher said while Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) looked on.

It gels with something he told me and The Hill's Jackie Kucinich earlier in the day: "Our Republican leadership on the House side has been unwilling to stand up with the American people to oppose this, and the American people shouldn't be giving them the credit," he said.

Of course, the conservative Californian has never been one to mince words.
