Rockies Put Lansing On DL
Colorado second baseman Mike Lansing was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a strained left groin.
Lansing is hitting .310 with 15 RBIs this season. His replacement, Lenny Harris, went 2-for-3 at the plate against Houston on Monday night but tied a franchise record by making three errors.
"The doctor gave me some medication to take and in two or three days we'll see where we are and go from there," Lansing said. "It's frustrating because I want to play, but if I can't it's best for the team that we get somebody here."
The Rockies recalled outfielder Edgar Clemente from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
