Rock Hall celebrating all week for inductions
(CBS/AP) CLEVELAND - The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland is kicking off 11 days of concerts and civic celebrations to mark its annual inductions on April 14.
This year's inductions, honoring Guns N' Roses, the Beastie Boys and the Red Hot Chili Peppers among others, will be held at the Public Hall venue in Cleveland and simulcast at the museum. It will be will be broadcast May 5 on HBO.
Among the events planned for the week is a Free Admission Day at the museum on April 14 and the opening on April 12 of a special exhibit on the Grateful Dead.
Concerts also have been scheduled on the following dates:
- April 6 at Beachland Ballroom featuring Bootsy Collins and the Funk Unity Band
- April 10 at the museum is a Gospel Music Celebration honoring Kirk Franklin
- April 12 is a Free Concert for Cleveland featuring George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic and Cleveland's own Kid Cudi.
