RNC Revels In Rahm Rumors

Even though Rep. Rahm Emanuel has denied an AP report linking him to the White House chief of staff job, it isn’t stopping the RNC from assuming it’s already a fait accompli.

“Rahm Emanuel is working with Barack Obama to create the most unbalanced and partisan government in a generation,” said RNC spokesman Alex Conant.

“Emanuel is among the most vitriolic and partisan people in American politics. Reports that Obama wants him to be White House chief of staff undercut any claims to unity and bipartisanship, and should alarm every voter.”

When contacted, Emanuel’s office once again denied the report.

“He has not been contacted to take a job in an administration that does not yet exist,” said Emanuel’s spokeswoman Sarah Feinberg.

“Everyone is focused on Election Day, as they should be.”
