Rita Wilson's 'True Hearts'

Actress and producer Rita Wilson has teamed with acclaimed jewelry designer Cathy Waterman to create a line of jewelry to benefit numerous charities for women and children across the United States.

Wilson, best known these days as the driving force behind the hit independent movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," discussed the new company, "True Hearts," on The Early Show. The line has many lariat and cross-shaped designs because of Wilson's love for them. She hopes the jewelry, which will be available on the Home Shopping Network, will continuously raise revenue for charities.

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" continues to do well and has made over $100 million at box offices — not too bad for a movie made with a $5 million budget. The film was based on a stage hit that drew Wilson's attention. She recommended the play to her husband, Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks. Soon, the couple agreed to co-produce a film version of the play, with Nia Vardalos maintaining her lead role.

If the jewelry company is as successful as Wilson's film production endeavor, many women and children will indeed receive the help they need.
