Rihanna to advise coaches on "The Voice"

Rihanna is headed to "The Voice."

NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt announced Thursday that the singer will serve as a key adviser to all the coaches on the new season of the singing competition show.

Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Pharrell will serve as coaches. The network previously announced that country star Brad Paisley would be an adviser to Shelton.

Season nine of "The Voice" begins Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.
