Report: Whitney Houston almost thrown off flight over seatbelt spat

It's been a while since she's had a hit, at least on the record charts, but Whitney Houston is still attracting attention for her off-stage antics. Citing an unnamed source close to Whitney Houston, People Magazine has reported that the pop star was involved in a heated argument with a flight attendant while traveling on Delta Airlines. TMZ initially reported the story.

Houston was a passenger on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Detroit when she reportedly refused to fasten her seat belt before take off. An outburst allegedly ensued by Houston, and as a result, a member of the Delta crew threatened to remove the 48-year-old singer from the plane. It was then that the pop star permitted a crew member to fasten her seat belt for her.

Houston has famously struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in the past, but a source who was allegedly on the plane told People Magazine that Houston was completely sober during the incident.
