Report: Two dead, no students hurt in apparent murder-suicide at Jacksonville school

(CBS/WTEV)JACKSONVILLE , Fla. - Two people are dead at a private Jacksonville school in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide, reports CBS affiliate WTEV.

No students were hurt during the incident, which occurred around 1:30 pm at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville. Initial reports indicate that a former worker returned to the school and opened fire, although the identity of the two people killed was not immediately clear.

Administrators placed the school on lockdown as officers investigated the incident, but parents were allowed to pick-up their students.

Several parents were in tears as they arrived at the campus. One parent of a sophomore told Action News that a teacher was fired on Monday and returned to the school Tuesday and opened fire on another teacher.
