Report: Atlanta pastor found stabbed to death
ATLANTA - The Rev. Otis Byrd, an Atlanta pastor, was found stabbed to death after failing to show up for church Sunday, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Byrd’s body was reportedly found in his home Sunday morning by parishioners of The God’s Anointed Missionary Baptist Church who went to check on him when he didn’t arrive to lead the service.
Police say Byrd’s body was found on the floor, according to the paper. He reportedly appeared to have been stabbed to death.
Neighbors of the 50-year-old pastor told the paper they were shocked to hear of his death.
The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made in the case.
