Reflecting on the Super Bowl
Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? It could be a classic game. Two storied franchises. The Packers and the Steelers. Two great quarterbacks. Rogers and Roethlisberger. The Black-Eyed Peas for the halftime show, what's not to like? But, I have to confess, except for one Sunday when a nephew of mine played in a Super Bowl 20 years ago, I can't really remember a single game. The Super Bowl is like a giant ice sculpture. By the time the game starts it feels like the sculpture is half-melted. Often it's the commercials that are most memorable. I'll never forget the ad for Apple's Macintosh computer produced by Ridley Scott. That was cool. Well and come to think of it, when that guy from the New York Giants caught the ball on top of his head that was cool too. And Lord knows if you don't watch, you'll have nothing to talk about Monday.
Just a minute. I'm Harry Smith, CBS News.
