Redheads Are Red-Hot

Celebs everywhere are trading in their dark locks and brilliant blonde tresses for something a little spicier.

Redheads are all the rage this summer, from Rihanna's bright new do, to Kristen Stewart's fiery new mane.

Sexy ladies such as the sultry Russian spy who went by the American name Anna Chapman, and Eva Longoria-Parker, are dialing up their reddish tones, and it seems as if everyone else is following their lead, reports "Early Show" contributing correspondent Taryn Winter Brill reports.

She says going red is the new way to set your highlights apart from all the rest. Some are calling it the "redhead revolution," while others are wondering what took everyone so long to get this memo!.

Oscar Blandi Salon in New York City has seen a 20 percent increase in the request for red. Why?

"Red is sexy. It's hot," said Scott Peper, senior colorist at Oscar Blandi, "it's fashionable."

While only two percent of the population are natural redheads, people are rapidly joining the club.

Ruthie Friedlander, senior editor at Styleite.com gave us an insight to why this hair trend is rapidly becoming the hottest thing about this summer.
"Going red is really not an easy decision. It's easy to be blonde, it's easy to have brown hair," said Friedlander, "red hair is really a show stopper, a real eye grabber."
