Recalled Products and Codes

There have been a number of recent recalls of meat and poultry products over concerns of possible contamination with the listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warn that ingestion of meat and poultry products contaminated with listeria can cause serious illness and is sometimes fatal. Consumers are urged to check product labels and return any suspect products.

Following is a list of manufacturers, product names, and code numbers for meat and poultry products that have been recalled:

The Agriculture Department has announced a recall on all Thorn Apple Valley products manufactured at Thorn Apple Valley's Forrest City, Arkansas, plant in the last six months and bearing the codes:
