Reality and TV fiction blurred in "Young and Restless" crossover with "The Talk"
(CBS) Two of CBS' daytime programs are crossing paths.
Two of the stars of "The Young and the Restless" will appear on "The Talk" on Thursday, and then two of the co-hosts from "The Talk" will appear on the soap opera later this month. And their topic will be a cosmetics line that began life as a soap opera plot device and is now being hawked on the Home Shopping Network - Jabot Cosmetics.
Peter Bergman and Tracey Bregman will appear on "The Talk" to discuss how the fictional company became a real product after being featured on the show for more than 20 years, CBS announced Wednesday.
Bregman, who plays Lauren Fenmore Baldwin on the soap opera, serves as the face of the line.
Then, "The Talk" co-hosts Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini will appear in an episode of "Y&R," set to air July 28. In the episode, Bergman's character, Jack Abbott, whose family founded Jabot Cosmetics, will appear on the talk show alongside Bregman's character to discuss the cosmetics line as part of a storyline.
The real-life line of Jabot Cosmetics will launch on HSN.com and at Ulta stores nationwide on July 28.
