"Real Housewives" respond to Giudice's prison sentencing

The news of Teresa and Joe Giudice's prison sentence is out, and some former "Real Housewives" are not shy about voicing their opinions.

Teresa was sentenced to 15 months behind bars for conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud. She will serve her time first before her husband Joe begins a 41-month stint on the same charges. The decision was announced Thursday.

"Housewives" Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin sympathized with their former Bravo cast member.

"It actually gives me the chills," Frankel told Us Weekly. "It's a long time but she'll definitely get through it."

She continued: "Every bad experience you go through, on the other side, you realize why it happened. She's just in the hell of it right now. It's terrible for the kids but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and they will be stronger as a family."

Frankel's "RHONY" costar Zarin took to Twitter to voice her sympathy:

"Teresa got 15 months and Joe almost 4 years. I am in shock," Zarin continued. "I really hoped the judge would show more leniency. Please give her space and time to process this."

On the other hand, Danielle Staub and Kim Granatell were not so kind.

Staub, whom Teresa fought with during the first season of "RHONJ," blasted Giudice via twitter:

Like Staub, Kim G. also insulted the couple:

Giudice has yet to publicly address her sentencing. She will be breaking that silence on "Watch What Happens Live: One-on-One with Teresa and Joe" Monday night at 9 p.m. ET.
