Rasmussen: Cornyn "potentially Vulnerable"

According to a new Rasmussen poll out today, Sen John Cornyn (R-TX) is just four points ahead of Democratic challenger Rick Noriega despite his significant financial edge. Cornyn is likely suffering from his close alignment with President Bush: The poll found that just 39 percent of Texans think Bush is doing a "good or excellent job," compared to 45 percent who think his performance is "poor." Cornyn has also had some issues over his long-standing ties with controversial televangelist John Hagee, although he told reporters last month, "I'm really not concerned that it'll become an issue."
