Rapper Machine Gun Kelly arrested in alleged after-concert brawl

(CBS/CBS Tampa) ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.  - Richard Colson Baker, also known as the rapper "Machine Gun Kelly," was arrested early Monday on a misdemeanor charge after allegedly brawling following a weekend performance.

Baker wasn't behind bars for long. The 22-year-old rapper from Ohio and rising star on P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records label spent a mere four hours in jail, reports CBS Tampa.

St. Petersburg police reportedly say several fights were underway at 3:00 a.m. Sunday when they arrived at the Bishop Tavern. According to TMZ, Baker was arrested on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge and released on a $100 cash bond.

After his release, Baker announced his arrest on Twitter, adding "[emotions] escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though."

Baker also said, "the weirdest part of it was how many inmates in there knew who I was and knew about the movement," he added.

His manager,  Andre Cisco, was arrested on the same charges. According to  witnesses, he allegedly instigated instigated the fight, according to St. Petersburg police, CBS Tampa reports.
