Rahm: Debate And Bailout Not Mutually Exclusive

House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel is questioning Sen. John McCain’s call to suspend Friday’s presidential debate in order to work on proposed bailout legislation.

“No one has told me why the two are mutually exclusive,” Emanuel told reporters on Wednesday afternoon.

“It’s not like if the debate gets canceled, the problem gets solved.”
