Quote Of The Year
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) gets our quote of the week award (and should be considered a front-runner for the annual title) for his doozy Thursday about Republican obstruction in Congress.
"They are just like the child who murders his parents and then asks for mercy before the court because he is an orphan," Schumer told reporters Thursday, according to our own Daniel W. Reilly.
Um, really?
Even in this partisan age, it might be a bit of a stretch to refer to the opposition party as a band of homocidal youngsters who shun responsibility before a jury of their peers.
And his Democratic colleagues kept the barrage coming Thursday - albeit falling well short of the mark set by the vociferous New York Democrat.
