Quitting Time For Bailout Negotiators
The four principal negotiators on the bailout aren't planning to meet tonight -- to give staffs more time to work out details, according to a spokeswoman for House Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO).
Essentially, this is a postponement of the already-postponed 3 p.m. meeting, which was scrapped due to "miscommunication."
House and Senate aides say they are "hopeful" for a Saturday meeting.
