Pro-Romney group plans to spend $4.3 million in key states

(CBS News) The outside group backing Mitt Romney plans to spend more than $4 million over the next two weeks in an effort to introduce the presumptive Republican nominee to voters in nine key states.

Restore our Future, the super PAC run by former Romney aides, has bought about $4.3 million of television airtime in Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and Colorado.

The ad, which has already run in more than a dozen states during the primaries, shows a former business partner of Romney describing how the former Bain Capital executive dropped everything to help him locate his 14 year old daughter who had disappeared in New York City for three days.

"Mitt has done a lot of things that people say are nearly impossible, but for me the most important thing he has ever done was to help save my daughter," Robert Gay says in the ad, known as "Saved."

While the super PAC is not allowed to coordinate directly with the Romney camp, senior campaign adviser Eric Fehrnstrom has said the campaign is focused on winning Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia.

Restore Our Future has spent about $45.4 million through March and had around $6.5 million in cash, according to Federal Election Commission.
