Pristina Airport

Pristina Airfield,in Kosovo, shown here in a Russian satellite image,is the military field that is currently contested by Russian and British forces. The image shows the bunkered areas at the end of the taxiways that were subject to repeated NATO bombing during the campaign.

This image was acquired on March 30, 1998 on the SPIN-2 commercial
satellite mission (conducted with SOVINFORMSPUTNIK using their KVR-1000 camera--a Russian military spy satellite system). The image was taken from an altitude of 228.6 km at 15.06.17 GMT. Sun angle at time of acquisition was 47.1 degrees.
