Priscilla and Tim Carter Murder: N.H. mother, son reportedly found dead with multiple chop wounds inside lakefront home

(CBS/AP) BELMONT, N.H. - A 59-year-old woman and her 39-year-old son were found dead inside a lakefront home in Belmont on May 24, authorities said, reports CBS Boston.

Investigators reportedly said Priscilla and Tim Carter were killed from multiple chop wounds. They were found in a home they had just rented out.

Shawn Carter, also son of Priscilla Carter, was taken into custody on unrelated charges the same day police found the bodies. No arrests have been made in connection to the deaths.

According to the station, police have gone door to door asking questions to neighborhood residents. Authorities said they should not be fearful of a killer on the loose.
